Bloomfield Restorative Justice Partners (RJP) was founded in 2025 by a group of Bloomfield parents, educators, and community members committed to bringing Restorative Justice Practices (RJP) to every school in our district.
Our Mission is to support student social and emotional well-being by training and coaching teachers and school staff in preventive restorative practices that build essential interpersonal skills, strengthen school community, and foster safe, inclusive learning environments.

We are concerned about the growing mental health crisis and prevalence of bullying among young people. Many students struggle with anxiety, depression, body image issues, school refusal, and peer conflict—often rooted in a lack of empathy, compassion, and belonging.
In recent years, Bloomfield students have been targeted for their body type, race, learning differences, and LGBTQ+ identity. While some were eventually able to share their experiences, many do not feel heard and understood by peers and community.
At Bloomfield Restorative Justice Partners, we believe every student deserves a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.
Bloomfield’s diversity is its greatest strength. We are a district serving approximately 6,400 students K-12, representing a multitude of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Our goal is to meet the needs of every student through restorative justice programming in every school.
Restorative Justice Practices in Education offer a proven curriculum with a positive path forward. Socio-emotional learning skills need to be taught and maintained across every grade level, similarly to Language Art and Mathematics. These are life long skills that benefit all students at school, in their future careers, and future communities.
By introducing these skills early and consistently, students will continue to improve community mentality, cultivate compassion, and resolve conflicts before they escalates.

Bloomfield RJP raises funds through grant writing, community events, corporate sponsorships, and private donations to provide professional restorative justice training and coaching for teachers in Bloomfield schools.

We engage the entire school community in our mission. By fostering collaboration among parents, teachers, and students, we create a unified approach to education.

Our initiatives prioritize student mental health and emotional well-being. We believe that a supportive environment leads to better academic outcomes.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
